Well, it is the Holiday season, and my one year anniversary on DA present to you.
(Be patient for the download, I made it nice and big so you can see it properly)
So this is a pic that I did this summer past for the Udon's Art of Capcom art book. Originally this was the image that I did the tutorial on, but in a last minute decision, it was decided that I do a tutorial for the AOC cover I did instead. [link]
If you bought the Udon's Art of Capcom book and read my tutorial in there, you will see some very big similarities in the text as i lifted almost 80% of it for that tutuorial as well.
One thing I will say about this tutorial is that if you are expecting some high tech awesome layer nonesense you will not find it here. I work as simple as possible and anything I do here you can do on your comp with either Photoshop or Photopaint.
For this image I used Corel Photopaint to colour it. This is just one style of colouring, but the base technique can be used in so many ways. Over the last 10 years of proffessional work, this is the most streamlined technique that I find myself using often.
In the end, you use as many lense flares and fancy-pants filters as you please, but this stuff is basic enough that even a beginner can benifit from it.
Hope you like it!
I will try to answer some of the questions I don't feel are answered in the text. Don't just rifle off questions without reading the text once or twice within the tutorial.
