I did this one way back in 1999, still one of my all time favourites.

You will probably notice a bolt of lighting shooting out ahead of the storm. The reason for this is that I was at a friends house, and went outside to watch a large thunderstorm roll in.

It was still sunny, and the clouds weren't even over the area yet, and all of a sudden fzzzcraaaack! A small bolt of lighting hit the top of a tree just across the street from me.

I say 'small' meaning to say it didn't split the tree in half, but it was certainly loud! inside my friend came out to see if i was alright and the TV in the house was busted!

So that is why I added the lighting to this piece!

This looks really great! I'm so impressed by anyone who can do really nice urban cityscapes, I guess because I get so bored drawing them myself XD
There is lots of really nice detail in this too! Great job!

Wow, very nice one. Really like it, the light and all......cool!
One question about the Linearts: do you draw them also digitaly or scan the hand-drawn lines?

This was actually drawn in a coffee shop right across form Macmaster university in Hamilton Ontario, I have it in my sletchbook along with the "BigBrother' piece. they are no higher than 28cm and that one in particular is drawn with ball point pen, took about 2 cups of coffee to do it, and yeah i catually did bring elipse guides with me there lol
