Commissions open!

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 18, 2010, 7:31 AM
Alright, here's the deal friends. I have three count em, three levels of commissions available for you not at all dissimilar to my normal convention routine:

Commissions

With this price you get the original line/colour art on paper and a goodie(s)as well. These are prices for one character no BG. If your character has more detail I will increase the price to reflect the amount of time.

Head Shot: Paper size: 20cm x 25cm, 8in x 11in, 400dpi file

1) 30CAD/USD Black and White (Mix of ink and pencil)

Cars: Paper size: 28cm x 43cm, 11in x 17in, 400dpi file

2) 220CAD/USD Coloured (digitally high end)
New Yorker 86 Colour by Omar-Dogan

Shipping is included for North America, probably for Europe too but I have to make sure the shipping isn't insanely expensive.

Context and Subject matter

I won't do these things:

Yaoi, Yuri, pr0n, hardcore violence or gore, 'bumps' and 'toes' and you know exactly what I'm referring to. I also wont draw your girl or specific people.

Other than that I might post your commission up or I might not, sometimes the scans of the pencil crayons and marker image does not do it justice, and the people who have received original colour stuff from me will say that same.

If I don't have visual reference i will charge more cause I am thinking and designing for you.

Paypal now Accepted!

So I am taking paypal now, and money order.

Original Art for Sale:

Ibuki #3 page 2 original art and rough lineart:

250CAD/USD incl shipping

Zaki from upcoming UDON artbook original art:
:thumb186593443:
300CAD/USD incl shipping

Anything else, please ask and I will give you a price. Comic pages start at 100CAD/USD just give me the page number including shipping!

I really do thank you guys and I hope I have been of some use to you.

Asalaamu Alaikum = Peace be upon you!

These are certainly well worth it! Someday I shall commission you for a piece of Sonson (MvC2). D:

I've always wondered, how long do you take to finish a commission piece from the time someone purchases one from you? I've always been curious how long pros usually take with commissions, especially when they are so busy with many other projects.

I am actually interested in the $30 deal. Are you still taking commissions?

I think the head shots are fairly reasonable prices for a professional to be drawing your own character. I can only dream of a day where I can charge as much for the others, haha XD I think the most I've ever gotten was $200 for a group pic, but the buyer never even sent me all the character descriptions for the pic, so I never even finished it. Some people really don't mind paying big bucks for something, and they've got cash to spare, so as long as people are willing to pay, there's no reason a pro should lower their prices.

And I think a lot of DA artists sell themselves short because they don't have that pro title tacked on. I've been told I do that by artist friends, but I don't feel right selling for more, since I haven't published anything with a professional studio or publisher before (unless you count assistant work). So that's part of it, I'm sure.

Toally agree with yasahime. When considering the quality of the work, and the amount of hours likely spent on getting that level of quality, I think the prices are totally fair. Not to mention the guy's a pro and works for a studio many on DA could only dream of working for (myself included).

While I must admit I'm disapointed I won't be able to get a commission due to a lack of disposable income, I would totally pay these prices to have a custom piece of art by Omar, or anyone else with his level of skill, honestly.

Anyways, I've already bought a bunch of Udon books in the past, so he got some of my money one way or another =P
