As always thank you for your support all of the year and for all your kind comments!

I've had a lot of fun with dA and it's served me well by helping me get in touch with all of you guys! However, I am soon going to be using FB for most of my post from here on in to prevent theft and because I like the interface a lot more.

I repeat i will not be updating this site nearly as much and all further announcements will be on FB until further notice! I will not be checking back here to often so dont miss out!

SO go there now and follow me as I post a lot more art and funny or interesting tidbits that i see. All of my future justintv broadcasts will be announced there as well! It's a lot more interesting and you get to interact with other hardcore fans!

Go here:…

Thats Omar Dogan Artist on Facebook!

See you there!

I'm Sad to see you going on facebook, I really love your art and your style. As I don't intend to use this service, I wish you the best of luck over there...

Hope to see announcement for new publications here too.

Unfortunate only because I'm on here a lot more than I am on Facebook.

Blaze on Omar, regardless of the comments. It is entirely your choice and it should be respected. I'll certainly be following your postings on Facebook as primarily you and the other guys at Udon have given me the boost to be better at illustration. (As with art theft, I don't post decent drawings/panels on here anyway.)

Asalaamu Alaikum my friend! (still would love to commission you one day for a bit of SF art)

Yikes... A lot of people aren't taking this too well.

Makes no difference to me, you'll always be one of my all time favorite artists and I'll always be keeping an eye on ya! (Just like the US government, dohohoho!)

I've been following you on Facebook for a while now. Great stuff but you shouldn't abandon DA, maybe try and post at least once a week or something.

(Also, keep posting sketches on FB. They're awesome)

Good luck,
I've been a long time follower, and I'll miss seeing your stuff in my inbox on DA =[ I don't use facebook, and a lot of other people don't either. I hope you can keep us updated every once in a while =].

It can be nice to post things on facebook but they apply "filter" on your followers newsfeed and you might not reach everybody if you are posting important things.. unless you pay a small fee. You might wanna do a couple of tests ;) And, not sure if it is rumors, but you give some copyrights on what you post to facebook :o
Carart Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
You are Cool, FB is not !

Facebook, Ebay and all the others are no Place for Art...
starfiregurl26 Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
Might wanna be careful on FB too, art theft is just as bad on there as it is on here. Just recently saw a person's art put on a cell phone case for sale (by another person). All they did was cut off the sig by the feet and bam, tried to sell it. The accounts got shut down after many complaints, but still, the art work was stolen from the persons primary account on facebook. Just be careful and consider your options before posting all of your work.

I already watch you out there... Um... just don't clear out your gallery here completely like a lot of other artists do when moving to FB, please. It's nice to have a gallery with all your stuff to see, you know? :)

Tis a shame, but best of luck sir.

I'll follow you but theft of anyone's image can be done on any website.
Zalagath Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013  Professional Digital Artist
I'm gonna follow but I think FB is even worse because they will use the images if they don't have a clear watermark anyway.
"They do what they want!"
mortalshinobi Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
is fb more secure from theft? swore it was just as bad or worse. still it was nice having you around while you came around here.
fox-orian Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013  Professional Digital Artist
I'm sure Omar has his reasons, such as selective privacy settings per post.
mortalshinobi Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
yeah, i think that might be more it then actual protection from theft, cuz fb is a lot less safe from that then da i'd say.
either way, enjoyed his art while he posted it
starfiregurl26 Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
I personally think it's worse. Just saw someone's artwork get stolen and put on a phone case for sale just the other day. I can't imagine they protect artists as well as DA does here since this is specifically an art site. IDK guess we will see

LOVE your icon too, omg so damn cute!
mortalshinobi Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
agreed. i knew a friend who i was watching who had her pony stolen and people on fb were trying to sell the works as their own.
reporting on da on the other hand doesn't seem so difficult as long as you can prove you're the original.
and thanks. favorite effi did it for me, though i have plenty of arts of her in my gallery that aren't from effi if you want to check them out. :)
starfiregurl26 Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
That's just sad. After all the work the artist put into it just for someone to steal and not care about that person. I mean there are times where I've wished to have the talent of these artists, but not enough to steal their work and sell it.
Exactly. They are at least pretty good with keeping up with some items on here.

Welcome!! I will do so :)
mortalshinobi Featured By Owner Jun 11, 2013
yeah, i despise it. i've even seen some of mine stolen and uploaded to cheap porn sites. though i haven't worried as much cuz it's fan art and i technically can't legally sell fan art anyways. i take more concern in marking up my original characters then anything else.
and cool. feel free to comment on anything you enjoy or may not enjoy as well.
starfiregurl26 Featured By Owner Jun 12, 2013
I do too. Oyeee, that's gotta be weird to find out. True there, but still, if it's good fanart you've put time into. Yeah, I know what you mean there. Didn't think people usually mess with OC's, but you never know how they are. I had one character get posted on a tumblr site and ripped apart, basically stating that I should trash her and start over again. That was a fun ordeal. I will do so :) Thank you!!
mortalshinobi Featured By Owner Jun 12, 2013
yeah, while an oc could come out mary suish, how many superman types or alicorn types have we seen already? an oc is generally just for fun and can be anything you want em to be. the only real time you need to worry about toning em down and making em more real is when you are using em in an rp with someone, then you gotta' worry about it. that or when you make something like a book you want to sell
otherwise, you can pretty much be as ridiculous as you want with an oc and not worry about it. it's my view on it at least
as for finding my art on porn sites? yeah, i wouldn't be so weirded by it if it were my adult pieces. but when i draw a piece like the noob saibot fatality from mortal kombat 9 where they split a girl in half, i wonder why the hell they'd put it up on a porn site?
and thinking on your character, i'm curious now. who was she and why did they say she needed to be scrapped?
starfiregurl26 Featured By Owner Jun 14, 2013
THANK YOU!!! OMG I was thinking the same thing!! It's so damn true too!! That's the kind of site it was on to, a hell no mary sue one. I was irritated. They even had the nerve to find my deviant art page and take screen shots from the journal I wrote. I was like really? Now I have no privacy from any of this? Exactly! But people think they need to be so well thought out and like a real person. Yeah, don't want them to be like super broken or weirded out. Just pull a Samus, loses her goods for her suit so you gotta go find em XD

I agree, completely. That's weird. Some people are into that kind of stuff. She was from the anime Hellsing. I actually only created the picture to get the mental idea of her down on paper and was going to work on the story later. It just never happened. They ragged on the art work itself and the story.

It's too bad you're leaving Da, but I'll make sure to follow you on facebook.

Facebook has got to be the WORST way to keep up with somebody unless you have so your feed pops you a message when they post.

Good bye and good luck.

I had already like your page on FB! :)
Well, I'm sorry to hear you won't be using dA much! :( Pay attention on FB, art theft are there too, and FB is the first theft of all: always put big watermarks on the pics, or FB will have the right to use them (it's written in facebook terms of use that they could use every pic uploaded)!
TheJn Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013
Yeah, sorry, love your art and all that but no, not Facebook. It's a shame.
Best of luck anyway.
