Lotsa Snow and Work

Thu Feb 7, 2008, 5:23 PM
42o oo Hits!</U>

Thanks for visiting, and thanks for your support for over a year!

Oh man, if you live in the anywhere between Kansas City over to  Chicago to Toronto over to Montreal, you probably got hit with some serious snow. Here in mississauga we got a two hit combo with the first 15cm falling  Wednesday early morning and then the next batch  later that afternoon. All told, about 30cm with breif batches of freezing rain too.

If you were south of that, i hope you werent one of the unfortunate families that lost lovedones. Apparently 50 people died in this storm, and even one life lost still hurts a family.

Thanks again for all the commission requests, i am getting them done! I am also have other work to do as well.

Sorry for along absense! I will write a better journal soon, and reply notes and comments!

Asalaamalaikum = Peace be upon you!

I'm one of the ones that got hit with all the snow....I've had to shovel 7 times within the past 5 days. >.< We haven't had winters this bad near Chicago for probably the past 7 years at least!

Although, I've got to say, I'll GLADLY take the snow over the Tornadoes. I've seen 8 in my lifetime, but luckily have never been damaged by one. Hope everyone is safe!

I wish I had some snow storm. Its been really hot here from the tornadoes, I live in georgia so I didnt get hit( I think part of GA may have tho?) but the weather is really humid and sticky and unwintery ish from it.

Well Stalin once said, one life is a tragedy, one million lives is a statistic. Good luck on the commissions and snow.

We've gotten almost no snow this year which is unusual in Maryland. At least you Canadians know how to drive in the snow. Hows that Civic holding up?

Micheline Ice tires , so no problemo.

A lot of hand brake action let me tell you!

I love handbreaking in the snow! I try not to overuse it but its real good at straightening out the car when it seems determined to overshoot a turn. Stupid FWD. I have "ALL SEASON" performance tires on my car. Its got too much torque and just goes all slippy slidey in snow or rain.

All seasons are BAAAAD. Don't believe the lie: if you are doing winter drives, get winter tires. Sweden does it, and makes fun of (us) Canucks for not doing it. I guess I mean "us" for Omar... Anyways, yes, ADVICE BEAM FIIIIREEE: get winter tires.

If I drove in snow constantly, I would get winter tires. But considering the most snow we had in Maryland, USA this season has been a few inches in December, I usually risk not having them.
